Yep, solid, reliable and good on gas too. Of course, we would've liked to have played all of the great urban centers of this vast land, but time constraints just wouldn't allow it (we couldn't pry Jon away from his new job as beer taster for Big Rock Brewery for any longer than 3 weeks). But hopefully we'll be coming to either your town, or a town near you. This will be the first time the Subhumans (Canada) have played Toronto in 25 years and our very first time ever to play Montreal! Needless to say, we'll be playing only the finest rock and roll establishments on our journey, such as this happening joint in Duck Ass Lake, AB.
Looks like a good place to empty out our Stephen Harper porta-potty. It should be pretty near full by then. Yes indeed. For a detailed list of our tour dates, check out our website at www.subhumanscanada.com.
So we're working really hard, getting ready for this tour. We've spent many long and hard hours locked in our dingy, dirty rehearsal space denying ourselves life's little pleasures so that we would be prepared for this tour (and we practised a couple of songs while we were in there as well). Besides playing many of our old favourites, we'll being playing quite a few new tunes from New Dark Age Parade as well. And of course, Brian will be doing his much loved and widely celebrated, fully flatulented rendition of "Having My Baby" while riding unicycle and eating tapioca pudding in the nude. A sight and sound extravaganza not to be missed! So all and all it promises to be a series of delightful shows you simply won't want to miss. And besides, at our age, who knows if we'll make it back to your town again; it gets tougher and tougher to haul around those wheelchairs, I.V. bags and bedpans everytime! So come on out and see the show!!

Hey! Finally watched Useless -- it's a great little film. Gonna see if we can get it shown around town.
Gonna be at the gig with a boot of that crappy CBC dramatizatation where you're portrayed as a belching, affable Punk Rock Clown. It's pretty cheesy -- Glen will be borrowing it, since, he says, he never actually got through it back in the day!
Dunno if you're interested but I thought I'd see if anyone had interesting opinions or stories about political activism on the Nomeansno board:

Hey Mr. Hannah. I totally love the band and the new CD, but I have to ask you, whats with Sulturro's T&A on your My Space friends page? Are these guys really friends of yours? One of the things I've always admired about the Subhumans was that you never used "sexy" chics to sell your shit and you spoke out against sexism. What gives with the link to Sulturro's bum-bum and boobies site?
Hey Spuzzum, that photo is not a photo of the Stephen Harper porta-potty. Porta-potties generally don't have a roof on them. And I could never deceive you like he does. I'm just not that good at it.
Glad you liked "Useless" Ammacinn. It is a fun little movie. Too bad it's so hard come by.
I know what you mean about Sulturro's T and A on our My Space site being offensive Jason. I don't like it either. No, they're not our friends; we've never met them. They just happened to be playing support on our Vancouver/Victoria shows. I checked out their My Space site as well and yeah, more of the same, only worse.
Yeah, I don't really understand how you can fancy yourself to be rebellious and anti-establishment and then turn around and use the most tried and true establishment advertising gimmick in the book (sex) to sell your stuff. Not very cool. Reminds me of Blink 182's ridiculous CD cover with the porn star. Don't be suprised if the next time you visit our My Space site that ass flashing in your face isn't there.
Hey Jason. We did get a chance to meet Sulturro last weekend when we played with them and while I still don't like their T&A advertising, they do seem like basically nice folks. They were very friendly and generous. Lets hope their next CD has a better cover.
Some kinda not-so-great pics of the Lamplighter gig that kicked off this tour are here:

Hope you guys had a good tour -- I've got better ones than this, btw).
